Shockless electricity….
Shockless electricity – A reality? How many times we have experienced electric shocks. Most people have experienced it at least once, whether by touching a live wire at home while plugging in a loose cable or accidentally touching a wire while repairing or changing bulbs.
Beyond these experiences, every parent’s nightmare is their children inserting conductive materials into power points accessible near their play areas. Small or large, electric shocks are a concern for everyone. Reference images below.

At this juncture, has anyone thought about shockless electricity? Probably not, right?
This article provides an opportunity to learn about and purchase equipment that creates shockless electricity for your house, providing added safety for your loved ones or yourself.
The equipment, shown below (slightly larger than a desktop computer CPU), is a converter that turns electricity into shockless power. Isn’t that simply amazing?

This device changes the circuit of incoming power to shockless by converting it into a 2-line system. This conversion prevents electricity from completing its circuit, so a person touching the live wire will not experience any shock.
To better understand this concept, let’s look at how electric shock occurs to a person. When a person touches a live wire and the ground (which conducts to earth), electricity passes through them, completing the electric circuit and causing a hazardous or minimal shock depending on the amount of electricity that passes through. The main reason for the completion of the circuit through the earth is due to the reference zero potential of the neutral wire. The neutral wire is earthed at the substation and extended to our homes.
Please refer to the image below, which shows the circuit completing through a person and causing the shock. Here, the cause of the shock is that the neutral wire is earthed and completes the circuit through the person.

We believe that the cause of the shock is neutral. However, for the sake of debate, if the neutral is not earthed, the voltage across the phase and neutral will double, potentially damaging equipment rated at or below 230 V. This phenomenon is known as neutral floating.
Therefore, our requirement is to ensure that our equipment does not damage equipment due to overvoltage (or neutral floating) and does not pose a shock risk to someone accidentally touching the live wire.
To meet these criteria, we have developed a converter with protection against overvoltage. The current capacity of this equipment is 5 KVA, which is sufficient to power a middle-class house or a 3 or 4 BHK apartment, providing hassle-free, shockless electricity to your loved ones and equipment.
This is a single-phase prototype but can be customized to be three-phase or scaled based on customer requirements, whether for a high-end villa, farmhouse, or any other setting. (To determine your electrical requirement, simply check your electricity bill, where the “maximum demand” or “MD” will be mentioned.) If you’re interested in using this equipment for your house, please consider this capacity.
The output of this equipment is L1 and L2, which provide 230 V across the terminals without referring neutral earthing at the primary side. This ensures that there is no circuit completion if a person touches a live wire, as shown in the image.

The equipment can be connected after the meter and before the distribution board or main switch. No further changes are required in the household wiring, and this setup offers the following benefits.
- No more shocks to the person who touches live / phase / Hot wire accidently.
- Helps the kids who unknowingly inserts the conductive materials such as long metal nails, knives etc from hazardous electric shock. Reference images shown below.
- Can be implemented in house where mentally challenged people are taken care, they may do not understand the seriousness of electrical hazardous.
- By doing galvanic isolation from primary to secondary , the noise of incoming electricity is reduced in secondary / output side.
- Many advantages still counting…
Absolutely all the benefits listed above are available to the buyers. Disclaimer: Please note that this is a safety device designed for household activities to enhance the safety of the electrical system, in addition to other safety devices such as MCBs, ELCBs, etc. It is intended for additional safety and does not encourage anyone to deliberately touch live wires. It’s important to understand that a person who accidentally touches either the live wire or the neutral wire separately will not experience a shock. However, if a person simultaneously touches both wires (which is considered deliberate touch), they will experience a shock.
